Gary May — Garden Designer, Director

Having decided to make a career change in 2010, I went on to complete a Diploma in Garden Design from the Pickard School, which I passed with Distinction.

I then spent some time working in private gardens including West Green House, Hook

In 2012 I set up Globe Gardens with the aim of designing and creating gardens that are unique, useable, offer interest throughout the year and most importantly make people smile.

Typically my designs and planting plans have a contemporary style with geometric influences.

I enjoy visiting gardens in winter as I feel they should look just as good in the depths of January as they do with all the colour of summer.

Lindsey Woolley — Garden Designer

I have always enjoyed gardens, plants and being outdoors, especially in the countryside.

Following careers as a plant research scientist and a patent attorney in private practice partnership, I completed a Diploma in Garden Design from Pickard School of Garden Design, graduating with Distinction.  Working at a highly respected trade nursery specialising in perennials, grasses and ferns during my diploma allowed invaluable improvement in my plant knowledge.

Working as a garden designer now allows me to make good use of the knowledge and experience gained from my various studies and careers while indulging my interests in plants and design.  I love the challenge of helping clients to make the very best use of their outdoor spaces with unique gardens specifically designed to suit both people and place while respecting the environment.

Kate Savill — Consultant Garden Designer

Growing up in the picturesque Cornish landscape, I have always felt a strong connection to nature. After completing my degree in Fine Art in 2010, I decided to combine my creative talents with my love of the natural world, gaining a distinction in my diploma at the Pickard School of Garden Design( PSGD) in Bristol.

Following my diploma, I worked full time alongside award-winning Garden Designer, Adam Frost, delivering a wide range of projects; from large rural retreats to international show gardens and urban charity schemes. During this time, I also won an RHS Gold Medal for my own show garden at the RHS Young Designer of the Year final in 2015.

I returned to Bristol in 2016 linking back up with Gary whom I’d met at PSGD, and we created a number of gardens for clients, as well as designing the planting scheme that won us Best in Show at BBC Gardeners’ World Live 2017.

I have designed and built two RHS Chelsea Flower Show gardens: The Jo Whiley Scent Garden in 2017, and the Warner Edwards Garden in 2018.
